ISSUE 1 - Online version

After a fantastic launch party last night, we can now publish the online version of inc. magazine. Obviously it's nowhere near as nice as the real thing - but it's what's inside that counts, so be content with the contents.

Launch party in the Guide's top 5 club picks...

This Sunday's Word Is Born cum inc. magazine launch party has made it into the Guardian Guide's top 5 club picks for this weekend....

"It's all a bit greenwich village circa 1964..."

Their words not ours...

Issue 1 - In pictures.

As you can see - the first issue is crisp as, well a crisp. Each Issue has been hand stamped on the front and inside page with the bespoke inc. magazine ink stamp, and sealed with a label. Each issue has been hand numbered on the back page out of 100. So, this is pretty limited stuff.

This is even more incentive to get down early to the Official Launch Party on Sunday 7, where you will get a free copy of the issue.

Alternatively see the blog here for stockists and go and buy a copy now!

Or if you are the kind of person that prefers sticking to their computer screen, you just need to hold out until after the launch to be able to view all the content online when it is published on issuu.com.

Obviously this is nowhere near as fun (but still a little bit fun)

In the meantime, anyone who has a lust for fonts may like to read this article - What's so wrong with Comic Sans?

Which perhaps may lead y'all to wonder what font is used for inc. magazine...drum roll....The font is Century Gothic, which was heavily used in Star Trek...check the wiki at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Century_Gothic

Wahey.

Sneaky sample of the contents of the ENTIRE first issue...

Launch party details/The low down...

Inc. magazine may only be months since its conception, yet unlike a human child, is due to be born in only a few weeks. Hopefully not prematurely, Inc. will launch at the Word Is Born night on Sunday 7 November.

The night is sure to be an extra special one, kicking off with poetry readings from many contributors to the first issue, which will hopefully set you all off thinking about what to submit for the next months edition.

Then there will be live music from the Abyss Quartet - a raw Ethio-jazz ensemble and Stereo Soul - an experimental project.

As always the night will conclude with an open mic jam session for poets, lyricists, MCs and musicians alike, to take to the stage and conjure up some ad hoc beats.

The event details can all be found here - WORD IS BORN x INC. MAGAZINE LAUNCH EXTRAVAGANZA!

Hope to see you there - be sure to post any names on the event wall to get the super special £3 guestlists.
